Brendan Gallagher
ARIA award winner Brendan Gallagher is an Australian music all rounder - singer, songwriter, performer, producer, composer & author. In a career spanning over thirty years he has played guitar on recordings for artists from David Bowie to Kylie Minogue and made records like Jimmy Little's instant classic Messenger.
Producer of over thirty albums in as many years, more than half as an artist, he has worked with indigenous luminaries such as LJ Hill, Emma Donovan, Kutcha Edwards and Aussie music icons Doc Neeson, Jeremy Oxley, Dave Mason & more.
Out front with his band Karma County he recorded six albums and toured the world. As a solo artist Brendan released an additional six albums. He still maintains a comprehensive live performance schedule in Australia and Europe.
He is also the author of international best seller The Open Tuning Chord Book For Guitar, first published in 1994, and favoured by guitarists from Peter Buck (REM) to Lee Ritenour and Arlo Guthrie.
Brendan is a Writer Director on the board of the Australasian Performing Right Association (APRA), an Executive Councillor on the International Council of Music Creators (CIAM), and Vice Chair of the Asia Pacific Music Creators Alliance (APMA).
Brendan was born in Sydney and has called Bondi Beach home since 1985.
