Dan Tiano is the moniker of an accomplished LA based composer. A graduate of the music academy at Tel-Aviv University, where he completed his Bachelor's and Masters degree in compositon, the list of Tiano's accolades are seemingly endless. With over two decades of experience in composing for concert halls, feature films and animation, documentaries, TV shows and countless commercials.
Tiano has served as Composer-in-Residence in the Concerti in San Martino festival in Switzerland where his commissioned Septet was performed. Other notable concert works are his virtuoso violin-solo piece, “Nocturne and Aubade,” chosen as the obligatory contemporary piece for competitors to perform at the Yehudi Menuhin International Violin Competition, and his demanding "Dying Pianos" for piano duo and recorded sound, commissioned by The Israeli Piano Duo.
Tiano has an exceptional ear and ability to create emotion on screen with apt beauty and prestige.
